I telephoned, she didn't answer
Could have been fast asleep
Considering that it was 3 o'clock in the morning
My message brief...was she as lonely as me

Wrote an email, it failed to send
She blocked my address, should I be offended
Depends on one's point of view
Guess she's telling me we're really through
But too hard for me to accept

I telephoned, she wasn't there
Another message
I care too much for my own good
I should give up trying, cause she's not buying

Another address, one more failed attempt
She knows all my aliases, so no exemption do I get
Careless of me to have revealed
Obviously, she doesn't feel the same
Guess I can't blame her, but no fun
being shot down in flames

I saw her there --she looked away
Followed her briefly
Considering she was with...maybe her new lover
Feared another had taken my place

Went home dejected, rain began to fall
Deeply affected, considering how
much she always meant to me
Couldn't believe it was really over
She had found a new lover, so I'm
not likely to recover any time soon

Her phone number, well that was changed too
Knew it was just a matter of time
I'm still not sleeping at all well at night
