If only you had gotten to know me, really, really know me
you'd know the depths of my love for you.
But, you've found someone new so I'll walk away as will you.
If only you had gotten to know me really, really know me,
I would have told you it takes a thousand drops of rain to make a flower bloom.
And it takes two minds and hearts to make love grow. 
Before you turn and walk away,  let me ask you to do this for me.
Take my hand and lets walk down memory lane, and when we've come to the end,
hold me like it's the first time, and kiss me like its the last.
