Amy Jack

Oklahoma native Amy Jack is a proficient singer, songwriter, and producer. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in TV/Radio/Film, she currently lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in North Texas. As an account executive for iHeart Media and Cumulus, she learned the ins and outs of the music and radio industries. To this day, Amy knows radio first hand. Amy recently released her debut album, Introducing Amy Jack, and she worked with the legendary country star Merle Haggard who produced the album. Raised by family music teachers, Amy sings with ease and conviction. “Music is the most powerful mover in the world,” she says. She describes her current single, “Bounce Back,” as a song about our human triumph over adversities.” Amy has had several successes. Her song “For the Love of the Game” was recently featured on the U. S. Olympic Committee’s ‘Road to Rio’ Tour as well as on national iHeartMedia stations, the ESPN Network during March Madness and on a featurette for Kobe Bryant on FOX Sports. Other recent career highlights include performing the National Anthem for Major League Baseball and having her song “Born To Lead,” which she co-wrote with artist Billy Dawson, featured as the soundtrack to the NCAA’s Rotary Lombardi Awards.

Fairweather friends are always there
When the weather is good
But when the floodwaters come they just float away
Like a piece of driftwood

When the chips are high and the dice are hot
They're all cheering you on
But when your luck turns cold
You turn around and (suddenly?) they're gone

(Chorus)
But you always know who the real ones are THey shine on your soul (or: like the sun?) They don't fade away
Like a falling star
(You always know who the real ones are(?)

When you're going through hell
That's when you can tell
They'll come from near and far
You always know who the real ones are

Baby you've been there for me
Through the highs and lows
And I believe you'll still be here
When the winter wind blows

Your roots run deep like a redwood tree
And you'll never let go
Your love is unconditional for me
I just know
