Jimmy Durante

James Francis "Jimmy" Durante (February 10, 1893 – January 29, 1980) was an American singer, pianist, comedian, and actor. His distinctive clipped gravelly speech, comic language butchery, jazz-influenced songs, and large nose helped make him one of America's most familiar and popular personalities of the 1920s through the 1970s. His jokes about his nose included referring to it as a "Schnozzola", and the word became his nickname. more »

    My Dad (born 1917) told me he still remembered back when he was in elementary school. on of tye kids was asked to stand in front of class ans sing a song ....And this is the one he started singing and the whole class was splitting a gut laughing ... ,,,
    That kid with the harsh voise on the little raakles also sang the song I believe (with out googling anything)...Happy Easter (Peter Cottontail)
    but that ....is another famouse old song By Gene Autry
