Never gonna change you
Every time I try, you just bring me down
And the hurt is startin' to change me
Now it's gettin' harder to help you out
I don't wanna wake up one day and not know my face
'Cause I got lost in your problems too
You're never gonna change
I'm never gonna change
Change you

I thought my hands could hold the hurt, that you are feeling
So you could breathe easier sometimes
Thought if you saw yourself through my eyes, that you'd believe it
But you trust the devil on your side

Blame it on your vices, blame it on your past
I know all your reasons, I don't have to ask
But one thing I know now it's true
You're gonna do what you do

Never gonna change you
Every time I try, you just bring me down
And the hurt is startin' to change me
Now it's gettin' harder to help you out
I don't wanna wake up one day and not know my face
'Cause I got lost in your problems too
You're never gonna change
I'm never gonna change
Change you

Knew all the warning signs, but didn't see them
Already had poison in your veins, hmm, hmm, hmm
And I had your back when there were doubts from everybody
'Cause I was last to know, you, were playing games
No, oh, oh

Blame it on your vices, blame it on your past
I know all your reasons, I don't have to ask
But one thing I know now it's true
You're gonna do what you do

Never gonna change you (change you)
Every time I try, you just bring me down
And the hurt is startin' to change me
Now it's gettin' harder to help you out
I don't wanna wake up one day and not know my face
'Cause I got lost in your problems too
You're never gonna change (change)
I'm never gonna change (change)
Change you

No, I'll never ever change you
No, I've tried, I've tried, I've tried, I've tried, I've tried
No, ooh-ooh, yeah
I'll never ever change you, no, oh-oh
I've tried, I've tried
To change you
